Nagyatád is the town of statues and parks. It is situated in the southern part of Somogy County. It is 60 km away from Lake Balaton. Nagyatád and its surroundings have got several sights and entertainment to offer. The town, its cultural relics of the past, for example, the Hild Commemorative Medal, and the park can be marvellous experience for the visitors.
In the woods nearby there are rare species of animals including wild animals, as well. In the centre of the town there is a 90-year old thermal spa bath. Its alkaline artesian water is rich in sulphur, carbohydrate, bromine and tartaric acid. The thermal water is suitable for drinking and bathing, as well. The water cures rheumatic and stomach ailments. The water temperature in the indoor swimming-pools can be 32-38 or 42 Celsius.
For swimmers, there is a 50 m - long swimming-pool filled with thermal water, and there is another, smaller one for children.
