In the heart of a 100 km long, 3-5 km wide Sárvíz (Muddy Water) valley lies the nationally protected Soponya-Csősz Sárrét (Muddy Meadow) on a territory of about 1 000 ha. The open water, reeds, marshes, fresh meadows and forests provide great essential conditions for the flora and fauna. The birds that nest here represent the most valuable fauna of nature conservation. The area is also renowned for its wildlife management.
